About me

I am doing my PhD as a research fellow in the Associative Learning Group
(Prof. Dr. Uengoer) at the Faculty of Psychology. My research explores how
associative learning — how we form connections between events — is
influenced by past experiences. I focus on how factors from learning
history (e.g., firm vs. uncertain beliefs) and current circumstances (e.g.,
expectation violations) affect whether learned associations are updated or
become resistant to change. I’m particularly interested in what these
dynamics reveal about theories of associative learning. My work uses human
fear learning and human predictive learning paradigms, conducted in-lab and
online.
