Course List and Learning Agreement before

Students that are part of an Erasmus+ exchange have to submit a learning agreement. This is a sort of contract between your home university and the Philipps-University of Marburg that you can take certain courses here which you will get ECTS points for. Usually, you submit a 'learning agreement before', which can then be updated with a form called 'learning agreement during'. Most universities are doing this process completely online (EWP) using the website 'Mobility Online'.

Other internationals have to fill out a course list. This document shows the courses that you want to take at the Philipps-University Marburg and is changeable until about five weeks into the semester. After that, the courses that are listed on the course list will be part of your transcript of records, and are the only courses that you will get credit for.

  • Course List

The course list is an online list that you first fill out before you arrive at Marburg which lists all of the course that you would like to take. It is very important that you fill this out before your arrival so that our instructors know when courses might be full and offer you alternatives. This course is also sometimes referred to as 'Belegliste'.

You need to include the following information in your course list: course number, course title, instructor, and ECTS points.

Courses that are part of the English department have a number that is structured like 'LV-XX-XXX-XXX', courses that you can take from the language center look like 'XXXXX XXXXX'. The course title and the instructor's name can be found in the university's catalogue or the language center website. Usually, the ECTS points are also indicated there, if not, please follow the English department's table regarding ECTS points.

  • Learning Agreement before

This document has to be filled with courses by you and then signed by you and your home university and finally by the appropriate departmental coordinator. Your course choice can still change, for example, because courses might be full. If your courses change, you can indicate that on 'Mobility Online' which, then, results in the 'Learning Agreement during'.
