Re-Imagining GenderFuture in STEM 

(GenderFUTURE) Intervening in Organisational Scopic Regimes

This joint project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and conducted in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University, examines the interplay between young women's imaginaries and orientations in GreenTech fields and the traditionally exclusionary organisational structures and innovation dynamics of GreenTech programmes in higher education.

The Marburg sub-project focuses on the conditions that enable the opening up of GreenTech degree programmes to greater gender diversity. Drawing on Foucauldian concepts of power/knowledge, the project uses participatory innovation labs, discourse-oriented document and website analysis, and image-based qualitative interviews to investigate how change can emerge from within institutions.
