EMF – Application for EU Funding – Online Course

If you are a postdoc, you may be eligible to apply for a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA IF) or an European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant.

Based on input from the Marburg University EU Liaison Officer, this workshop addresses the following questions: 1) What are the eligibility criteria, budgets and application deadlines? 2) How do I write a good application?

This workshop is divided into the parts:

• You get an overview on Horizon Europe.
• Marie Curie Individual Fellowships and European Research Council Starting Grants: You gain information on eligibility criteria, budgets, deadlines.

Grant writing to dos and not to dos will be discussed by the EU Liaison Officer.

• Individualized advising/appointment making for potential follow-up is possible.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Briefly, after the workshop you

• Are aware of application requirements, offerings and deadlines, and
• Know how to write successful applications for these two grant types.

Requirements 

Proficiency in English at the B2 level of competency is required.
Please note that this is not an English language course.

To participate in the online course you need a PC/laptop with a current browser (recommended: Chrome or Firefox) as well as a headset (or speakers and microphone), possibly a webcam plus a stable internet connection.

Please note that registration is always binding. You may cancel your registration up to twelve days before the course begins without providing specific reasons. Thereafter, you will be required to pay the attendance fee even if you do not attend the course.
