What do doctoral candidates need and how can you as a supervisor provide them with the best possible support?
In this hands-on workshop, you will take an in-depth look at the requirements and opportunities of good doctoral supervision.
Together, we will reflect on role perceptions, expectations and challenges in supervision, develop strategies for a supportive supervision culture and share experiences from everyday supervision.
Qualification goals
At the end of the workshop you will be able to
- Consciously perceive and actively take on your role(s) as a supervisor.
- Use the supervision agreement of the Marburg University in a targeted manner to organize a transparent doctoral period.
- Identify and apply suitable forms of discussion for effective communication with your doctoral candidates.
Methods
The workshop combines input from the speakers with discussions and reflections.
