This interactive workshop is designed for doctoral candidates and postdocs who want to strengthen their moderation skills in academic contexts. Whether in meetings, committees, or group discussions, effective facilitation is essential for driving results, fostering collaboration, and managing complex group dynamics.

You will explore the essentials of professional communication and learn how to prepare for different meeting formats with clarity and structure. The workshop introduces core moderation techniques such as input collection, targeted questioning, visualization, and decision-making. Special focus is placed on result-oriented discussion leadership and practical strategies for dealing with dominant or disruptive participants. Additionally, you will reflect on power dynamics in group settings and learn how to address imbalances related to status, gender, or origin both in on-site and online environments.
