In this workshop you will acquire the ability to write successful research proposals to pursue an academic career. We will look at the four phases of proposal writing, focusing on content and structure. We will discuss as well as improve examples of texts and look at successful budget and work plans. We will talk about writing strategies, discuss best-practice examples and, above all, work on your own texts. There will be impulses, input and feedback rounds to improve your current texts and develop strategies for your further applications.
Qualification Outcomes
After the workshop, you will be able to
- Understand and assess quality criteria of grant proposals from the reviewers' perspective.
- Strategically structure your proposal writing activities.
- Apply appropriate language styles and convincingly formulate your project idea and clearly convey your project concept.
- Develop your personal writing strategy for your (next) grant proposal.

Presentation by trainer, group work, individual exercises, writing practice
Requirements
Please bring your own device (laptop, tablet, or else) for writing exercises.
