(Conditional) Admission for non-restricted study programs
Please note: For programs with restricted admission, a conditional offer of admission is not possible. For these programs, German language skills must be uploaded/provided to uni‑assist by the application deadline.
If your German language skills are not yet sufficient for your degree program, you can receive a conditional admission for programs with open admission.
This gives you the opportunity to study German for two semesters before starting your degree. In this case, you can enroll as a language student and take advantage of benefits such as the semester ticket or student housing. However, enrollment as a language student is not mandatory.
You must register for the language courses independently and cover the costs (in addition to the semester fee if you choose to be enrolled). You can attend language courses offered by external or internal providers. If you choose external providers, make sure that, upon passing the exam, they issue one of the German language certificates recognized by Philipps University Marburg.
