Placement test example for German as a foreign language
The placement test for German as a foreign language is a written test consisting of three parts.
It checks:
- lexical and grammar skills by means of a multiple choice test (see example)
- your general linguistic competence by means of a C-test (completion exercise – see example)
- your skills in written
expression by means of a short essay of around 150
words on a given topic
Time allowed: 60 minutes
