Università del Piemonte Orientale

Vercelli is located in the Piedmont region and has approximately 47,000 inhabitants.

The Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO) was founded in 1998 as a state university, but the history of the university goes back to the 13th century. Around 12,000 students are currently enrolled at the university and study at the various locations in Alessandria, Novara and Vercelli. In the ranking of state universities in Italy, the UPO ranks 12 out of 61.
