Universidad de Santiago de Compostela

Santiago de Compostela is located in the northwest of Spain and is primarily known as the destination of the Way of St. James. The city has been a place of pilgrimage since 830 and, along with Rome and Jerusalem, is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in Christianity. Santiago de Compostela is also the capital of Galicia.

The Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC) was founded in 1495. The university has approximately 45,000 students and is divided into 19 faculties.
