All beginnings are hard. To begin in a new city and gain your bearings in an unfamiliar university can be challenging. Moreover, the way in which a university operates may differ from your former school. Students who are just beginning the Bachelor's programme in Economics are not left to face these challenges alone. In the first week of the degree, the School of Business and Economics' Student Council and returning students put together an exciting programme for new students (orientation week), during which you can get to know the city, the university, your fellow students and your future instructors, as well as taking the first organisational steps towards planning your studies. Students need to register in order to take part in the orientation week (see the Student Council's website). The Dean of the School will welcome you in the first week of the semester in an official introductory event.
