Biography

Hicham Quintarelli, He/His, is a PhD student in the Center of Translational Clinical Psychology. He is from Saarbrücken, Germany and studied psychology at the Université du Luxembourg for five years. The main focus of his Master’s degree program (M.Sc.) was psychological interventions in applied fields. In his thesis he analyzed behavioral predictors linked to dynamic and complex problem solving.

As a research associate, he is very interested in studying dynamic patterns of personality using the network approach. Personality research has a long history in describing between group differences and predicting stability of general personality traits. Hicham’s research focuses more on novel approaches explaining how personality states are interrelated and changing across time and context. Understanding the dynamic nature of personality states is especially valuable for inferences about adaptation and maladaptation of individuals' personality functioning. He plans on applying his gained research knowledge later for the education as a psychological psychotherapist. In his free time, he loves listening to audio-books, watching shows and movies
