Biography

Cameron E. Lindsay, She/Her, is a visiting scholar in the Center of Translational Clinical Psychology. Cameron heralds from southeastern Michigan, United States. She studied psychology and social work from Grand Valley State University, graduating spring of 2023.

Cameron's research interests are studying emotions in mental illness, in addition to various cognitive processes. She hopes to research underlying mechanisms behind environmental causes of mental illnesses through evaluating emotion concepts and awareness. In addition to her research in Germany, she is a research assistant in the Social and Cognition Lab at Grand Valley State University, where she assists Dr. Michael Wolfe and Dr. Todd Williams to study metacognition of belief change. Cameron specializes in mental health advocacy and works with schools on developing proactive social and emotional environments. Cameron hopes to take her knowledge from her year abroad to get her Ph.D. in clinical science. Outside of the lab, Cameron enjoys knitting, cooking, and listening to music.
