M.Sc. Wirtschaftsinformatik (Business Informatics)

This applied and project-focused master program specializes in theoretical computer science, business informatics and business administration. The primary aim is to enhance independent scientific research. Graduates are qualified to take on responsibility for tasks and lead projects in the industry, economics and science which analyze, shape and solve scientific economic problems through technical methods used in computer science and computer science for business. Additionally, the completion of a highly successful master’s degree enables the graduate to continue on to a doctoral degree.

The M.Sc. Wirtschaftsinformatik program is comprised of modules (What are modules?) from the fields of computer science, business administration, business informatics and mathematics. The following table provides an overview of the modules to be completed throughout the course of study according to their allocation to academic disciplines in terms of content. The elective modules can be chosen based on individual interests. *) A total of 57 credit points are to be acquired in the three areas Specialization in Computer Science, Specialization in Business Administration and Specialization in Business Informatics.

**) A maximum of 18 credits may be acquired in advanced modules ("Aufbaumodule") in the two areas of Specialization in Computer Science and Specialization in Business Informatics.

***) Two to four modules must be completed in the area of Business Administration Specialization; it is recommended to select modules that are assigned to the same area of emphasis in business administration .
