Are you interested in applying for the MSc program in "Molecular Biotechnology"? It's an excellent choice. The program begins every winter semester. It is a competitive program that accepts a maximum of 25 students per year, so admission is based on a selective process.

How to apply

  • To be eligible for the Molecular Biotechnology program at Philipps University of Marburg, applicants must have a C1 level proficiency in English, as all teaching and exams are conducted in English.

  • Applicants will be evaluated based on their Bachelor's degree grades, as well as the number of credit points earned from courses taken in biological sciences (minimum of 30 CP) and supporting sciences such as physics and mathematics (minimum of 12 CP). Additional subject-specific qualifications, demonstrated by successfully completing relevant advanced and/or final modules in bioscience and biotechnology, will earn extra credits.
  • In addition to providing academic transcripts, applicants must also submit a CV and a letter demonstrating their subject-specific attitude for the program.
  • Applicants who meet the admission score level will be invited to participate in an interview, during which a committee will make the final admission decision.
