An appealing and appropriate presentation of one's own research is required by scientists in a variety of communication situations. A science pitch can be very helpful in such situations: In a science pitch, you talk about your research project in three to five minutes and present it briefly and attractively, yet precisely. This allows you to bring your professional expertise and your personality into the process.

In this workshop, you will hear examples of stories and learn what messages professional speakers use. After a brief introduction to science pitches, you will be invited to present your project, develop variations of the presentation and receive qualified feedback.

You can use your science pitch at networking events, such as science conferences, and to present your research project in a variety of settings.

You will receive initial inspiration for your science pitch through a short video and an online survey 14 days prior to the workshop.
