This interdisciplinary presentation will feature Griffith University scholars, Dr
Monique Lewis, Dr Danielle Heinrichs Henry and Ms Ella Jackman, who will
discuss their research projects and methods and the emerging bilateral
research collaboration between Philipps Universität Marburg (Germany) and
Griffith University (Australia).

Each presenter brings a complementary lens to the climate-mobility-health
nexus. Monique Lewis, a senior lecturer in Griffith's School of Humanities,
Languages and Social Science draws on media and communication research
methods - including framing and narrative analysis - to examine how health and
risk are constructed and communicated across diverse media channels and
platforms. Danielle Heinrichs Henry, senior lecturer in the School of Education
and Professional Studies contributes expertise in multilingual and cross-cultural
communicative methodologies, applying these to accessible crisis and climate
communication for diverse and mobile communities. Ella Jackman, PhD
candidate in the School of Medicine and Dentistry brings a health
communication and behavioural research perspective, with her doctoral work
(in Griffith's Climate Action Beacon Doctoral Training Program) examining how
heatwave communication can promote protective behaviours and strengthen
heat-health resilience among older adults.

Together, these perspectives will highlight the centrality of communication to
understanding and responding to the climate-mobility-health nexus, prompting
discussion about the diversity of exciting possibilities for future projects and
collaborations.
