Actors and Dynamics in Social Conflicts

Social conflicts in pluralistic societies are a normal consequence of negotiating diverging interests. A number of projects explore how conflicts at the meso- and micro-level between groups or collectives occur. Special attention is paid to social practices such as attribution, narratives and boundaries, as well as the conflict dynamics and escalation processes. The analysis focuses particularly on civil society and political actors who are involved in resistance and collective protest.
