Dr. Florian Hintz

Florian Hintz heads the research group Variability in Language Use, based at the research center Deutscher Sprachatlas at Philipps University Marburg. Broadly speaking, Florian's work aims to contribute to a better understanding of the cognitive architecture that supports our unique ability to use language.

Language and its use are characterized by a high degree of variability, visible at all linguistic levels. Florian's work is centered around examining the origins and consequences of this variability.
