The new round of applications for the 2025 Doctoral Award has begun!
Nominations can now be submitted to the dean's offices of all departments and executive boards of the research centers.
Deadline: January 15, 2026
Marburg University awards the Doctoral Award every year. It is intended to highlight the outstanding achievements of young researchers as well as the scientific progress achieved with such work. Each year, the Marburg University Doctoral Award recognizes an outstanding dissertation from the various disciplines (sections) of the university:
| Section I: | Law, Economics and Social Sciences |
| Section II: | Philosophy, Theology, History, Education, Linguistics and Cultural Studies |
| Section III: | Mathematics and Natural Sciences (excluding Life Sciences) |
| Section IV: | Life Sciences and Medicine |
All supervisors and reviewers are eligible to nominate candidates.
