Procedure of the Graduate Survey
Every year from October to February, graduates from the previous academic year are invited by the Teaching Evaluation Unit to participate in the online survey by email or post. The names, exam details, and contact information of the graduates are provided by the respective examination offices. Since it can be assumed that some of the addresses provided are out of date, addresses are checked before and during the mailing phase and updated if possible. The names and contact details remain with the Teaching Evaluation Unit and are not forwarded to ISTAT.
In order to achieve a high response rate to the survey, graduates will receive a maximum of three reminders in addition to the initial invitation to participate.
Response rate depending on the number of contacts:
The graph shows the need to send several reminders in order to achieve a response rate of at least 50%.

Participation in the graduate survey is, of course, voluntary. All graduates will be assigned a personal access code for this purpose. The questionnaire for the current survey can be found here.
Once the survey has been completed, the data records are processed by ISTAT and made available to the department as raw data. The data set is anonymized, i.e., it is not possible to assign the individual data sets/answers to the corresponding persons. Based on the data, reports are created at university and degree program level within the Department of Studies and Teaching (Dept. III).
Why participate at all?
There are many reasons to participate in the project by completing the questionnaire:
- You have the opportunity to provide the university with feedback on your satisfaction with the education you have received.
- Participating in the survey is an important contribution to improvement of ...
- the range of courses and study conditions,
- the university's advisory and service facilities,
- the practical and professional orientation of the studies.
- Future generations of students will have the opportunity to benefit from these experiences.
- Contact with the University of Marburg will remain in place and can be intensified.
- The evaluation results of the survey data will be sent upon request.
