Teaching Evaluation & Graduate Surveys

LATEST NEWS:

  • Registration for the 2026/27 winter semester is expected to open on September 1.

  • Registration on the portal for the 2026 summer semester will close on September 3, 2026, as aggregate reports must be generated and preparations for the next semester must be made. Registrations already in place at that time will be processed as requested; however, it will no longer be possible to independently register new evaluations.
If, after the portal closes, you still need an evaluation during the last 4 weeks of the summer semester that you have not yet registered, please contact

  • Vacation Period:
Until August 31, the department will not be fully staffed due to vacations. Please submit any evaluations that are scheduled to run during the summer semester well in advance so that we can assist you promptly if any issues arise.

  • Our questionnaires have been revised: Changes to the questionnaires

  • For the 2026 summer semester, a new feature called "repeating instructor blocks" will be available for courses with multiple instructors (see here and under Questionnaires for details). In addition, minor changes have been made to the questionnaires, a section on student learning behavior has been added, and the new FEGEX questionnaire for field exercises and excursions has been developed.

  • All of our questionnaires can be supplemented with an optional module:
-> optional questions for teaching with digital tools (dig-Module)
-> optional questions for teaching with AI tools (AI-Module)

PREVIOUS NEWS:

  • New additions to the team:
Since January 1, 2026, Sylvia Dietrich – whom some of you may already know from Division III B 3 (QSS) – has also been working part-time (1/4 position) in the Teaching Evaluation Division. She is filling the position previously held by Sabine Rein, but her primary focus is on the graduate survey (specifically, the (further) development of questionnaires and overall analyses). In addition, she serves as deputy director and will also provide support in the Teaching Evaluation Unit. As of February 1, 2026, Josefin Bultmann has joined the team as the second student assistant.

  • Graphic on portal usage: Self-selected timing of teaching evaluation in the 2025 summer semester

The new evaluation portal allowed teachers to choose their own evaluation period. The graph shows which calendar week was chosen for the end of the evaluation period. According to the graph, most evaluations end in the last week of lectures.

  • The evaluation portal of our new Zensus software is now available for the summer semester 2025. You can now use this portal to register evaluations, extend evaluations, and view your own results. A user guide can be found here.

  • CHANGE OF PROVIDER/SOFTWARE: The support contract with evasys GmbH expired on July 31, 2024. On September 1, 2024, there was therefore a change of provider and software to Blubbsoft and the evaluation software Zensus. Initial evaluations with the new software have been possible since the end of January 2025.

  • The results of the student survey on the use of AI in studies and teaching conducted at the end of the 2023 summer semester can be found here.
