In this module, we introduce methods, tools, and publication strategies that help make your research process transparent—from the initial idea through data collection to publication. As open science takes a holistic approach to research, this module offers workshops covering all stages of the research process:

  • Introduction to Research Data Management: Practical strategies for documenting, storing, and using research data in accordance with FAIR principles
  • Digital Methods and Statistics using Open-Source Tools: Introduction to data analysis with R and Python
  • Digital Methods for the Humanities
  • Publishing Open Access: Choosing reputable open-access journals and exploring funding opportunities at Marburg University

Open science increases the visibility and impact of your research. It supports collaborative, efficient, and transparent research practices while upholding the highest quality standards. By taking advantage of digital opportunities, open science enables you to make research more accessible and maximize its benefits for society.

The workshops in the program can be attended individually and in any order. Participants who attend at least four events are eligible to receive a combined certificate.
