Transcript of Records
At the end of an international visit, exchange students receive a transcript of records (ToR) with the grades of the exams that they took. For this, the foreign representatives will collect the grades, enter them into MobilityOnline and initiate the ToR issuing process. Note that the grades obtained by exchange students are not transmitted automatically to the foreign representatives. For this reason, exchange students need to notify their teachers to send their grades to the department 12 foreign representative, i.e., “Auslandsbeauftragten”. This is particularly important for courses that have been taken in other departments and includes language courses. The students also have to make sure that their course lists in MobilityOnline are up-to-date! Otherwise, grades for missing courses cannot be entered or missing grades for actually not-taken courses will delay the ToR creation process significantly.
If a course from the LA has not been taken, the exam was not taken, or the exam has not been passed, students need to notify the foreign representative of department 12 that these courses have been failed, because otherwise this information will delay the ToR creation indefinitely long.
We also note that there are two examination periods in Marburg: One at the beginning of semester holidays and one at the end. Exchange students can take their exams in either of these slots and if a course has been failed in the first attempt, students can re-do the exam in the second slot. So if a course has not been successfully completed in the first examination period, the ToR will not be issued until the end of the second examination period, because students can make a second attempt in the second period for any failed exam. However, if the ToR should be issued before the second examination period although exams have been failed, notify the foreign representatives that you forgo a second attempt and the courses should be entered as not passed into the ToR; only then a ToR can be issued early.
