Consultation

We encourage all students to read this website carefully before initiating a contact, because the website does already answer many study-related questions. Depending on the type of question that remains, there are different places that offer consultation:

  • The Foreign Representative (Auslandsbeauftragter) can offer assistance for individual study-related matters that include issues with learning agreements (signatures), transcript of records, study plans, special letters, ERASMUS-related questions, and general study processes at the department level.
  • The Examination Office (Prüfungsbüro) can offer assistance with regular study-related matters that include late arrival letters, student account issues, issues with the Marvin system, and late transcript of record access. Please also consider their general FAQ, which is, in many parts, also relevant to exchange students.
  • The International Office (Dezernat VI) can offer assistance with exchange-related matters that include any issue with the Mobility Online system, housing in Marburg, questions for non-ERASMUS exchanges (freemover, DAAD etc.), and any technical issue.

When contacting the foreign representative, the examination office or the international office, please always state your full name, study program, exchange program, semester and MA/BA level. Please also always state your question even if you are asking for an in-person meeting, because we can then forward you to the person that can help you best with your question before engaging in a meeting with the wrong person - it will help us offering you the support that you need.
