Registration of Bachelor's and Master's Theses

Each student must apply for admission to the bachelor's or master's thesis in the examination office before the thesis begins.

After the application, a check is carried out to determine whether there is already an authorization to start the thesis. If so, you receive a confirmation on the form.
Only then you can present the registration form to your chosen examiner and receive the topic and the start date.
After the issue of the topic, the form must be returned to the examination office immediately.

The supervisor and the student will then be informed by email of the deadline for submitting the thesis.

Application for an External Bachelor's/Master's Thesis

Section 11, paragraph 2 of the Study and Examination Regulations states:

The Bachelor’s thesis may be completed either in a research group in the Department of Physics or, depending on the major, in other scientific departments, medicine, and non-university research institutions or in industry, provided that considerable use is made of physics methods. It may also be completed as a self-designed project.

The Master’s thesis may be completed in a research group in the Department of Physics or, depending on the major, in other scientific departments, medicine or non-university research institutions, provided that considerable use is made of physics methods.

Taking the above into consideration, if a supervisor is found in the Department of Physics (Section 11, paragraph 3), an application for an external Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis may be submitted to the Examination Office. This application must be signed by the student and the supervisor from the Department of Physics.
