MACIE

The Marburg Center for Institutional Economics (MACIE) was founded by Prof. Dr. Karl Paul Hensel in 1957 as a "Research Center for the Comparison of Economic Steering Systems" in Marburg. The research center is located in the Barfüßertor 2, which is used today (among others) by the Institutional Economics working group. In the seminar room there are plaques in honor of Prof. Dr. Karl Paul Hensel that were donated to the MACIE by the Doris and Dr. Michael Hagemann Foundation. Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Schulte is Managing Director and Prof. Dr. Marc Steffen Rapp is scientific Co-Director of MACIE. Further information can be found on the website of the Marburg Center for Institutional Economics (MACIE).
