Sync&Share - next.hessenbox
More and more, data needs to be shared and collaboratively worked on between different individuals or groups. To meet this demand, a growing number of Sync&Share storage services are emerging, such as the widely used Dropbox. Many of these services have unclear business models and, above all, questionable data protection foundations.
The next.hessenbox is a data protection and copyright-friendly alternative to other cloud services. It is provided by the University of Kassel for the Hessian universities for research, teaching and administration as a central service with decentralized authentication.
hessenbox and next.hessenbox - How does it fit together?
The current hessenbox meets basic requirements, but the technology has become outdated and is no longer meeting current requirements and user expectations.
In recent years, many users have expressed a desire for new, improved functions that could not be implemented on the existing platform. The new next.hessenbox meets these wishes and replaces the old hessenbox.
Answers to questions about migrating your data can be found in the FAQ of the next.hessenbox.
