Teaching at the Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, with a focus on pediatric nephrology and transplant nephrology, takes place in close consultation with the Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine I and the Clinic for Pediatric Surgery at the Mother/Child Center. For optimum training of our students during their clinical semesters, we have developed a joint teaching and learning design that imparts both applied and theoretical knowledge in the large subject of pediatrics. In addition to classical formats such as main lecture and seminars in small groups, practice-oriented learning takes place at the bedside and in simulation modules. Increasingly, e-learning and digital learning are finding their way into pediatric teaching. For students who have a special interest in pediatrics, we offer an out-of-class focus curriculum. The special content of pediatric nephrology as well as transplant medicine is taught in individual courses due to the longstanding focus on these subjects at Philipps-Universität Marburg. If students are interested, we offer extracurricular teaching units as well to practice applied skills. There is always the option of participating in clinical rounds. If you are interested in this, we recommend getting in touch with us right away.
