Pediatric endocrinology
Our Department of pediatric endocrinology provides comprehensive medical care for children and adolescents with conditions affecting growth, puberty and the body’s hormonal systems (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, among others).
Spectrum of treatment:
- Short stature, tall stature
- Premature or delayed pubertal development
- Hypo- or hyperthyroidism
- Rickets, phosphate diabetes
- Diabetes insipidus (central/renal)
- Bartter syndrome
- Gitelman syndrome
- Disorders of aldosterone formation or action
- Disorders of parathyroid hormone production or action
The majority of examinations can be performed on an outpatient basis at our university outpatient clinic.

A referral from a physician is required for a pediatric endocrinology consultation with us.
Detailed tests are also possible at our day clinic, including further clarification and initiation of therapy for growth hormone deficiency or premature or delayed puberty.
