data_UMR is the institutional repository of Philipps-University Marburg. Research data with descriptive metadata can be deposited in it, securely stored and published with a reliable citation reference.
Functions
In data_UMR research data in all disciplines and format can be
- stored (for at least 10 years),
- shared with others
- published with a reliable citation reference including DOI allocation.
In data_UMR research data are described using metadata. This has several advantages:
- easier retrievability
- greater safity for publication
- automatic discovery in search engines on publication
- Linkage to related text publications
- Unambiguous attribution of persons with ID
- Interfaces to databases in the university faculties possible (in development)
